Washington D.C. Part II
Thursday in D.C. was an interesting day. If I had to sum it up in an few words as possible, I suppose they would be long, rainy, and patriotic. The day dragged on like no other because of this orientation. I would sit through some of these lectures with my eyes closing in on themselves. Like, the amount of physical exertion I had to use to keep my eyes open was ridiculous. Luckily, I made it out of the lectures without anyone noticing how absolutely bored out of my brains I was. That night, a group of us went off to the national mall and saw some must-sees - washington monument, white house, lincoln memorial, and the u.s. war memorial? something like that. Rained again. I also hailed my first taxi. Anyway, Just trying to keep up with the times.
